While this page is open, at intervals no shorter than 60 seconds, it queries CoinGecko's public /simple/price endpoint. If the source timestamp is older than 10 minutes, the price is considered stale and will not trigger an alert. After an error or HTTP 429 rate limit, checks slow down automatically and alerts will not fire during the delay. Checks stop if you close the tab or your computer sleeps; browsers may also throttle background tabs. No server, account, or API key is needed. By default, thresholds are kept only in this tab's memory.

An alert fires only when the threshold is crossed : it does not fire immediately if the condition was already met when added. Once triggered, the alert rearms after the price reverses by 0,2%; the same alert can show at most one notification every 10 minutes. Data with the same timestamp is never evaluated twice.
